About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Social Sciences Teacher to join a multi-academy trust, delivering engaging lessons across the social sciences curriculum.

You'll plan and teach lessons that bring the subject to life, supporting students to build the knowledge, analytical skills and confidence they need to achieve strong outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality social sciences lessons to a range of year groups.
• Assessing, marking and tracking student progress, and using that information to shape your teaching.
• Supporting students of differing abilities to reach their potential.
• Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom.
• Working alongside colleagues in the department to maintain consistent standards of teaching and learning.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status or a relevant teaching qualification
• A strong subject background in social sciences
• Experience teaching the subject in a secondary setting
• Confidence managing a classroom and setting high expectations

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience teaching across more than one social science discipline
• Experience of examination-level teaching and assessment
