About the Role

A school is looking for a committed Science teacher to join their department and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support learners to make real progress.

You'll teach across your specialism, assess and track student achievement, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment alongside a supportive team of colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons that support student progress and achievement.
• Teaching both theory and practical content safely and effectively.
• Assessing learner progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
• Contributing to curriculum planning and the wider work of the department.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and well-managed classroom.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant degree and/or a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS or PGCE)
• Strong subject knowledge in Science
• Confidence delivering both theory and practical lessons
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience teaching across more than one key stage or qualification type
• A track record of strong learner outcomes and progression
