SEN Tutor
Temporary | Contract | 6–8 Hours per Week
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced SEN practitioner who enjoys working with young people one to one?
About the Role
An education provider is looking for an SEN Tutor to deliver personalised tuition to learners with special educational needs. Sessions take place in the learner's home, in a care home or in a library, so you'll need to drive and travel between settings.
You'll plan each session around the learner's individual needs, interests and communication style, building the confidence and routine that helps them engage with their learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering tailored one-to-one tuition for learners with SEND.
- Adapting resources and teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with learners and those supporting them.
- Monitoring, recording and reporting on learner progress.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- QTS, or at least 10 years' experience working with learners with SEN
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Availability for 6–8 hours per week
