Personal Development Coach
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North East
Start date: 28 September 2026
Are you experienced in pastoral support and keen to help young people get the most from their studies?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North East, working with learners aged 16 to 25 on a one-to-one and small group basis. Many of the students you support will have special educational needs or be finding classroom learning difficult.
Your focus will be on helping each learner set and reach their targets, build confidence and prepare for their next steps.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with learners aged 16 to 25 on a one-to-one and small group basis.
- Supporting students with SEN, and those struggling in class, to meet their targets.
- Delivering employability sessions and related personal development activity.
- Monitoring progress and adapting your support to each learner's needs.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in a pastoral or personal development role
- Maths and English at Level 2
- An enhanced DBS on the update service
