Are you passionate about helping learners with additional needs build confidence, independence and real progress?

About the Role

You'll provide dedicated support to learners with additional needs at an education provider, working alongside teaching staff so that every learner can access their education and engage fully with their studies.

You'll build positive, trusting relationships with the learners you support, adapting your approach to suit individual needs and helping them grow in confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to learners with additional needs.
• Working alongside teaching staff to help learners access the curriculum and complete their work.
• Encouraging learner independence, confidence and engagement.
• Supporting the delivery of individual learning plans.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience of supporting learners with additional needs
• The ability to build rapport with young people
• Patience, sensitivity and strong communication skills
• The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience in a learning support or education role
• An understanding of how an EHCP informs the support a learner receives
