Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 30 September 2026
Are you a qualified Exam Access Arrangements assessor who wants to make sure every learner gets a fair chance in their assessments?
About the Role
As an Assessor, you'll carry out Exam Access Arrangements assessments for learners at a further education provider, working in line with JCQ regulations and the organisation's own policies.
You'll produce the evidence and reports that support approved adjustments, and work closely with staff across the organisation to identify learners who may need an assessment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Exam Access Arrangements assessments in accordance with JCQ regulations and organisational policies.
- Producing clear, compliant reports and evidence to support recommended adjustments for learners.
- Liaising with curriculum teams, learning support staff and tutors to identify learners who may require assessment.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is stored and submitted correctly for audit and exam board requirements.
- Communicating assessment outcomes to staff and learners and supporting the effective implementation of approved arrangements.
Essential Qualification
- CPT3A or Level 7 qualification in Exam Access Arrangements
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as an Assessor
- Has a good knowledge of additional learning needs
- Holds up-to-date safeguarding training, or is willing to obtain it
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one
