PE Teacher
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 19 August 2026
About the Role
An education provider in the West Midlands is looking for a committed PE Teacher to deliver high-quality physical education and help every pupil achieve the highest possible outcomes.
You'll plan and teach engaging lessons across a range of abilities, encouraging participation, confidence and a lasting enjoyment of sport and physical activity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering PE lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
- Adapting teaching and activities so that pupils of all abilities can take part.
- Monitoring, assessing and tracking pupil progress.
- Promoting positive behaviour, participation and engagement.
- Acting as a form tutor as directed, and carrying out the duties of a school teacher.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong PE subject knowledge
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE or Cert Ed
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to differentiate effectively for individual needs
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of delivering extracurricular sport and school sports fixtures
