Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in the South East, delivering engineering teaching to learners working towards vocational qualifications. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, your technical knowledge is what matters most.

You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions across theory and practical workshop settings, helping learners build the skills, understanding and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging engineering sessions in classroom and workshop settings.
• Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Preparing learners for the requirements of their awarding body qualifications.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification in engineering or a related discipline
• Strong practical and technical engineering knowledge
• The ability to engage and motivate learners of mixed abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching, assessing or instructing within further education

If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, that needn't hold you back — industry experience is what counts most here.
