Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary
Are you an experienced electrician looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of tradespeople?
About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across its electrical installation provision. You'll plan and deliver engaging practical workshop and classroom sessions, create learning resources and assess learner progress, helping students build the technical skills and confidence they need to progress into employment or further study.
If you're new to teaching, that's not a barrier. Industry professionals are supported to work towards a recognised teaching qualification while they work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of electrical installation programmes.
- Teaching practical installation skills alongside the theory that underpins them.
- Assessing learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development and course review, keeping content in line with current industry standards.
- Supporting learners with their progression into employment or further study.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in electrical installation
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
- An assessor qualification
