Job Title: Coach – Machining & Maintenance Engineering

Position Type: Permanent, Part-Time (2 days a week – 14 hours per week)

Salary: Up to £17,592.00 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent up to £43,000 per annum)

About the Role

Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to share your skills and coach the next generation of technicians? We are seeking a dedicated Performance Coach to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis

Key Responsibilities

• Training Delivery & Assessment: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging teaching and learning across specialist engineering topics. Assess learners' skills and knowledge both on-site and in workplace settings.

• Caseload & Programme Management: Manage an active caseload of students, tracking progress, setting SMART targets, conducting reviews, and updating digital tracking platforms.

• Employer Collaboration: Co-plan programme delivery and Off-The-Job training with apprentice line managers to meet learner needs.

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Essential)

• Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent) (Essential)

• Assessor Award (A1 or equivalent) (Desirable)

Skills & Experience:

• Solid industrial experience and occupational competence in machining or engineering maintenance/operations.

• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

• Ability to travel as needed for employer workplace visits.
