Salary: £35,112 – £47,148 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role

As Carpentry Lecturer, you will:

• Deliver engaging teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery programmes.
• Inspire and support learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
• Share your current industry knowledge and practical experience with students.
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assessments and learning activities.
• Monitor learner progress and provide support to help students achieve their qualifications.
• Work with the Curriculum Manager to develop and expand the Carpentry & Joinery provision.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to the quality of teaching and learning.
• Support course promotion through open events, taster sessions and other marketing activities.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Relevant Level 2 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent.
• Strong industry experience within Carpentry or Joinery.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage class groups.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Passion for supporting and developing learners.

Previous teaching experience is beneficial, but industry experience is the key requirement. Full support is available for candidates looking to work towards a recognised FE teaching qualification.
