Job Description
Quality Assurance and Development Officer
Temporary | Contract
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Start date: November 2026
About the Role
You'll join a training provider as a Quality Assurance and Development Officer, taking ownership of the systems and processes that keep standards high and provision compliant with awarding body requirements.
Working across teams, you'll monitor performance, identify gaps early and turn what you find into practical improvements. It's a role for someone credible and confident, comfortable advising managers and challenging where standards need to rise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing quality assurance procedures, policies and documentation in line with awarding body requirements.
- Supporting the self-assessment process and associated action plans, making sure improvements are tracked through to completion.
- Producing internal quality reports that highlight risks and themes and recommend evidence-based improvements.
- Supporting external quality visits, including preparation, coordination and follow-up actions.
- Carrying out quality activities such as deep dives, learning walks and observations, then writing up findings and actions clearly.
- Advising managers on best practice and compliance in teaching, assessment and training delivery.
- Training staff on quality assurance expectations and good practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in a quality or compliance role within a teaching or training environment
- Strong working knowledge of awarding body and external quality requirements, and how to evidence compliance
- Highly organised and methodical, able to manage several workstreams at once
- Confident producing reports and turning findings into clear, actionable next steps
- Able to influence managers and staff across departments without direct line management
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience delivering staff training
- Experience supporting teams through external quality visits or audits
If you're ready to help raise standards across a training provider's provision, we'd love to hear from you.
