About the role

An education provider is looking for a skilled and reliable chef to join their catering team. This is a hands-on kitchen role, working as part of a busy operation to prepare and serve food to a high standard.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day preparation and cooking of meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and contributing to the smooth running of the catering service. This is an ongoing contract with an immediate start available.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard.
• Working as part of the kitchen team to deliver an efficient catering service.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen environment.
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Proven experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen
• A sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Enhanced DBS

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience working within an educational or large-scale catering setting
