Plumbing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: London
Start date: November 2026
Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider is looking for a Plumbing Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across its plumbing provision. You'll work with learners developing both the underpinning theory and the practical workshop skills the trade demands.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions, assess learner work against awarding body requirements, and support students as they progress towards careers in the plumbing and heating industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering plumbing sessions in both classroom and workshop settings.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress against programme and awarding body requirements.
- Supporting learners to develop the practical competencies required on site.
- Maintaining a safe workshop environment and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Contributing to curriculum planning, course administration and quality improvement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent industry-recognised qualification
- Current or recent industry experience within plumbing
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and engage learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- Teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or training groups
