Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider to deliver practical, engaging teaching to learners working towards their plumbing qualifications. You'll combine classroom theory with hands-on workshop practice, helping learners build the technical skills and confidence they need to progress in the industry.

You'll plan and prepare your sessions, assess progress and support learners through their programmes, working alongside a team of colleagues from the trade.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering plumbing theory and practical sessions to learners across a range of levels.
• Planning and preparing lessons, learning materials and workshop activities.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop and classroom environment.
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
• Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Current or recent industry experience in plumbing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate and engage learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
• An assessor qualification
• Previous experience of teaching or training groups
