About the Role

A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Plumbing Lecturer to deliver theory and practical workshop sessions to learners working towards their plumbing qualifications.

You'll bring your industry knowledge into the classroom and workshop, guiding learners through the technical skills, standards and working practices they'll need on site. Good classroom management matters here — learners respond well to clear structure and consistent guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions across plumbing programmes.
• Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
• Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
• Maintaining a safe workshop environment and high standards of health and safety.
• Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
• Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent industry-recognised qualification
• Substantial industry experience as a plumber
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and engage learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• Teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Assessor qualification
• Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing groups
