About the Role

We're recruiting an Animal Care Lecturer on behalf of a further education provider in the North West. You'll deliver teaching and assessment across animal care programmes, bringing your own sector experience into the classroom and practical settings.

You'll plan engaging theory and practical sessions, support learners through their qualifications and track their progress towards achievement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering theory and practical sessions across animal care programmes.
• Planning and preparing high-quality teaching, learning and assessment materials.
• Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback.
• Monitoring learner attendance, progress and achievement.
• Supporting learners to progress into employment or further study.
• Contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant qualification in animal care or a related discipline
• Occupational experience you can bring into your teaching
• The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in a further education setting
