Are you an experienced painting and decorating professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider, delivering painting and decorating training to learners working towards their qualifications. Across theory sessions and practical workshop activity, you'll bring your industry experience into the teaching environment and help learners build the trade skills employers are looking for.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging painting and decorating theory and practical sessions.
• Adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of learners.
• Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualification completion.
• Producing learning resources to support the programme.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workshop.
• Keeping accurate records and completing associated administrative tasks.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in painting and decorating, or a related construction trade
• Industry experience you can draw on in the workshop and classroom
• The ability to motivate and support learners of differing abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching or assessing qualification
• Previous experience of delivering training or teaching in a further education setting
