Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: 16 November 2026

About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver teaching across their electrical installation provision. You'll plan and deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom theory, bringing your own industry experience into the room and keeping it relevant to what learners will meet on site.
You'll assess learner work, track progress and support students in building the technical skills and confidence they need to move into the trade.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theory-based sessions across electrical installation programmes.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, resources and assessment activities.
- Assessing learner work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Embedding current wiring regulations and health and safety standards into your teaching.
- Monitoring learner progress, retention and achievement, and keeping accurate records.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation
- Extensive industry experience as an electrician
- Good communication and organisation
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience teaching or training in further education
