Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary
Location: London
Are you an experienced motor vehicle technician looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of automotive professionals?
About the Role
You'll join the automotive team at a further education provider in London, delivering theory and practical workshop sessions on motor vehicle programmes. You'll help learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
Teaching experience is not essential. If you're coming straight from industry, you'll be supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based lessons across motor vehicle programmes.
- Planning lessons, assessing learner progress and giving constructive feedback.
- Supporting and motivating learners to achieve their full potential.
- Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Promoting a safe, professional and industry-standard workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent)
- Recent industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
