Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver engaging theory and practical sessions across motor vehicle programmes, helping learners build the technical knowledge, hands-on skills and professional confidence they need to progress into employment or further training.
You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and workshop, teaching across a range of levels and adapting your approach so every learner can succeed. If you haven't taught before, that's no barrier: you'll be fully supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based teaching across motor vehicle programmes.
- Teaching learners at a range of levels, including full-time students, adult learners and apprentices.
- Planning lessons, assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Promoting a positive, safe and professional learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle, or equivalent
- Recent industry experience in the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
Inspire the Next Generation of Technicians
If you're ready to pass your trade on to learners starting out in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.
