Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Are you an experienced motor vehicle technician looking to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering engaging theory and practical teaching across Motor Vehicle programmes. You'll work with learners in both the classroom and the workshop, helping them build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
Teaching experience isn't essential. If you're coming straight from industry, you'll be supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering classroom and workshop-based teaching across Motor Vehicle programmes up to Level 3.
- Planning lessons, assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting and motivating learners to achieve their full potential.
- Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Promoting a safe, professional workshop environment that reflects industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent)
- Recent industry experience in the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or assessing in a further education setting
