Are you an experienced make up artist looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?

About the Role

We're recruiting a Make Up Lecturer to join a further education provider in the South West. You'll deliver practical and theory sessions to learners working towards make up qualifications, bringing your industry experience into the classroom and salon.

You'll support learners to build the technical skills, professionalism and confidence they need to progress into the industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging practical and theory make up sessions.
• Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities against assessment criteria.
• Monitoring learner progress and putting support in place where it's needed.
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress.
• Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment in which every learner is challenged and supported.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in make up or a closely related discipline
• Occupational experience in the make up industry
• Confidence delivering practical and theory sessions to groups

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• An assessor qualification
• Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
