DevOps Engineer
Contract
Location: North London
Start date: ASAP
Are you an experienced DevOps professional looking for your next challenge in a dynamic organisation?
About the Role
You'll join the IT team at a further education provider, supporting the delivery, development and improvement of DevOps services, systems and IT projects. You'll help keep systems reliable for staff and students across teaching, learning and day-to-day operations, providing technical support across key applications, databases and integrations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting key applications, databases, MIS systems and integrations.
- Providing technical support for applications, systems, incidents, upgrades, patching and fault resolution.
- Building, maintaining and optimising databases using tools such as SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Supporting IT projects, including development work on data systems.
- Keeping systems, code, configurations and technical processes properly documented.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in an IT, MIS, DevOps or technical systems role
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft-based systems
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Relevant qualification in IT, Computing or Business Administration
- Experience with Jira
