About the Role

A further education provider in the West Midlands is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join its teaching team. You'll plan and deliver practical workshop and theory sessions, helping learners build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to progress within the electrical industry.

Alongside teaching, you'll assess learners' work, track their progress and contribute to curriculum development, making sure course content reflects current industry standards and practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across electrical installation courses.
• Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
• Contributing to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with current industry standards.
• Supporting learners to develop their technical skills and employability prospects.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and well-organised learning environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in electrical installation
• Industry experience within the electrical sector
• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one

Desirable (but not essential):

• An assessor qualification
• Previous experience of teaching or mentoring in a further education setting
