About the Role

As a Cleaner, you'll help keep classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas clean, tidy and safe for learners, staff and visitors. Working with an education provider, you'll take pride in presenting a welcoming environment that supports day-to-day learning.

You'll work to an agreed cleaning schedule, using the equipment and products provided and following health and safety guidance at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas to the required standard.
• Emptying bins and removing waste to the designated collection points.
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in line with COSHH guidance.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or damage to the appropriate person.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A reliable, flexible approach and good timekeeping
• The ability to work well both on your own and as part of a team
• An understanding of health and safety in a cleaning environment

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, college or similar setting
• A cleaning or health and safety related qualification
