About the Role

A school is looking for a skilled and committed Science Teacher to join their department and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students. You'll support learners to build confident subject knowledge across both theory and practical work, and help them achieve strong outcomes.

Working alongside a supportive team, you'll contribute to the ongoing success of the department and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom where every student can make progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering well-structured Science lessons that support student progress and achievement.
• Differentiating your teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners.
• Assessing progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
• Supporting students with practical work and exam preparation.
• Contributing to curriculum planning and delivery alongside colleagues.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS or PGCE, or a relevant degree
• Strong subject knowledge in Science
• Confidence delivering both theory and practical lessons
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience teaching across more than one key stage
• A track record of strong learner achievement and progression
