Business & Geography Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East Midlands
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider as a Business & Geography Lecturer, planning and delivering engaging sessions across both subject areas and supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and move on to their next steps.
You'll prepare teaching materials, assess work and track progress, adapting your delivery to the range of abilities and starting points in your classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality teaching across business and geography programmes.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
- Assessing learner work and giving constructive feedback that supports progression.
- Monitoring attendance, retention and achievement, and acting where learners need additional support.
- Contributing to curriculum development and course reviews.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Subject knowledge in business and geography
- Experience of teaching or training learners
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of teaching in a further education setting
- Experience of curriculum development
