Location: the South West
Start date: November 2026
Are you an experienced brickwork professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the South West, delivering brickwork training that combines hands-on workshop sessions with classroom-based theory. You'll help learners build the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional behaviours they need to succeed in industry.

- Plan lessons, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Assess learners and support them through tutorials and progress reviews.
- Provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
- Maintain a safe, organised and industry-standard workshop environment.
- Promote employability skills, professionalism and health and safety best practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in brickwork
- Strong industry background in bricklaying and masonry
- Good communication and workshop management skills
- Sound understanding of current industry standards and safe working practices
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring apprentices
