Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: November 2026
Are you a health or social care professional ready to pass on your experience to the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West to teach Health and Social Care, delivering well planned, well resourced lessons that stretch learners and prepare them for progression into the sector.
You'll work alongside an established teaching team, taking responsibility for the progress of your groups and supporting students through to their final assessments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering Health and Social Care lessons across the programme of study.
- Preparing and evaluating learning materials and assessment resources.
- Marking, giving feedback and tracking the progress of your students.
- Acting as a point of support for learners and contributing to their wider progression.
- Maintaining accurate academic and administrative records.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree or relevant professional qualification in nursing, health or social care
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to bring industry experience into the classroom
- The ability to plan, deliver and assess across a range of learner groups
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of teaching, training or assessing in a further education setting
- A recognised teaching qualification
