French and Spanish Teacher
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: 2 November 2026
Are you a modern foreign languages teacher who enjoys bringing French and Spanish to life for learners of all levels?
About the Role
As a French and Spanish Teacher with a further education provider, you'll plan and deliver engaging lessons that build the language skills, cultural understanding and confidence your learners need to progress.
You'll teach across both languages, adapting your approach to a range of abilities and levels, and you'll monitor progress closely so every learner gets the feedback and encouragement they need to keep moving forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering French and Spanish lessons that are engaging and well structured.
- Preparing schemes of work, resources and assessments that support progression and achievement.
- Assessing learners' knowledge and language skills and marking work accurately.
- Providing timely, constructive feedback that helps learners improve.
- Tracking learner progress and supporting those at risk of falling behind.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong subject knowledge in both French and Spanish
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Experience of planning and delivering lessons across a range of levels
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of teaching in a further education setting
- Experience of preparing learners for language qualifications
