Law Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced law teacher or legal professional looking for your next opportunity within further education?
About the Role
As a Law Lecturer, you'll deliver high-quality law teaching for a further education provider, helping learners build the subject knowledge and analytical skills they need to progress into higher education and employment.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions to learners of mixed abilities, assess work against awarding body requirements and work alongside the wider teaching team to maintain strong standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering law sessions across a range of levels and abilities.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Marking learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Supporting learners to build confidence, motivation and independence.
- Contributing to curriculum planning and quality improvement.
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Subject knowledge and experience in law
- Experience of teaching, training or assessing learners
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions to mixed-ability groups
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching within further education
