Art Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: London
Start date: October 2026
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as an Art Lecturer, delivering Art to post-16 learners and helping them develop the creative and practical skills they need to progress.
You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons to mixed-ability groups, assess work and give learners the feedback and encouragement that builds their confidence and their portfolios.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons to learners of mixed abilities.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Assessing learners' work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Tracking progress and supporting learners who need additional help.
- Working with curriculum and support colleagues to ensure inclusive practice.
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong Art subject knowledge
- Experience teaching Art to post-16 or secondary learners
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Ability to adapt your teaching to a range of abilities and needs
