Workplace Assessment Care
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: 26 October 2026
Are you an experienced care professional looking to support learners in the workplace?
About the role
You'll carry out workplace assessment for care learners on behalf of a further education provider, visiting learners in their place of work to assess their competence against the requirements of their qualification.
You'll plan assessments with each learner, gather and judge evidence, and give clear feedback that helps them build the knowledge, skills and confidence the sector expects. You'll monitor progress towards completion and work with employers to make sure learners get the support they need.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and carrying out assessments with care learners in the workplace.
- Gathering, judging and recording evidence against qualification requirements.
- Providing timely, constructive feedback to learners.
- Monitoring learner progress towards completion.
- Working with employers to support learners in their place of work.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has occupational experience in care
- Has experience of assessing learners in the workplace, or holds an assessor qualification
- Can plan, organise and manage a caseload of learners
- Communicates clearly with learners and employers
