Travel and Tourism Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: 6 October 2026
Are you a travel and tourism professional ready to pass your industry knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering travel and tourism to learners working towards their qualifications and their first steps into the industry.
You'll plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions, assess learners' work and track their progress, keeping your teaching grounded in what the sector actually looks like today.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching across travel and tourism courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support progression and achievement.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing feedback and support.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry practice.
- Supporting learners to build the technical skills and employability they need to enter the sector.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in travel and tourism, or substantial industry experience
- Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of the travel and tourism sector
- Enthusiasm for motivating and supporting learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Experience of delivering at Level 3
