Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Lecturer

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Location: Based at a college in the North East

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and appropriately qualified individual to join our team as an Aircraft Maintenance Lecturer.

The primary responsibility of this role is delivering and assessing high-quality learning programmes in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics) across a range of further education and higher education courses. The successful candidate will support learners in developing both the theoretical knowledge and practical competencies required to progress within the aviation maintenance industry.

Additionally, the role involves programme leadership responsibilities and contributing to the effective administration, planning, and continuous improvement of aviation programmes.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical Expertise: A strong background in aircraft electrical and avionics systems maintenance.

  • Industry Background: Proven professional or vocational experience within the aviation maintenance sector (commercial or military), ideally working in a Part-145 or Part-147 training or maintenance environment.

  • Practical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in areas such as avionics diagnostics, fault finding, system testing, and installation.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: An understanding of the CAA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licensing framework and the knowledge requirements associated with aircraft maintenance engineering qualifications is advantageous.

  • Educational Ability: The ability to translate industry/military experience into engaging teaching and learning that prepares students for successful careers in the aviation sector.
