About the Role

You'll join a training provider as a Support Learning Lecturer, working with learners who need additional support to access their programme and make progress. You'll adapt your teaching to a range of needs and abilities, helping learners build confidence alongside their skills.

You'll plan and deliver sessions, assess work and give feedback, working closely with curriculum and support colleagues to make sure provision is genuinely inclusive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging sessions to learners with a range of additional learning needs.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
• Adapting learning materials and teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs.
• Assessing learners' work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Tracking progress and supporting learners with gaps in their knowledge.
• Working with curriculum and support colleagues to ensure inclusive practice.
• Maintaining high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience teaching or supporting learners with additional learning needs
• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Ability to adapt your delivery to mixed-ability groups
• Patient, proactive approach and strong communication skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience in a post-16 or further education setting
• Knowledge of EHCPs and learning support strategies
