Student Success Officer
Temporary | Contract | Full Time | 37 Hours per Week
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 19 October 2026
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in a learner-facing support role, helping students engage with their studies, overcome barriers and progress through their programmes. Working alongside teaching staff, you'll deliver practical day-to-day support that keeps learners on track.
The role involves delivery of English, maths and Functional Skills alongside wider learner support, so you'll be comfortable working with students both one-to-one and in small groups.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of English, maths and Functional Skills to learners.
- Working with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Helping learners engage with their programme and progress towards their goals.
- Working closely with teaching staff to put the right support in place.
- Maintaining accurate records of learner support and progress.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of delivering English, maths and Functional Skills
- Experience of supporting young people or adults in an education setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months
- Two references from your most recent employers
