Sports Massage Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North East
Start date: 8 September 2026
Are you a sports massage professional looking to pass your practical expertise on to the next generation of therapists?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North East to deliver sports massage training, combining practical sessions with the underpinning theory learners need to work safely and confidently with clients.
You'll teach learners at a range of levels, assess their practical competence and support them towards achievement and progression into the industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theory-based sports massage sessions to learners.
- Planning schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Assessing practical competence and tracking learner progress.
- Providing timely feedback and supporting learners to achieve.
- Maintaining safe, industry-standard practice in the practical environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Occupational qualification and experience in sports massage
- Ability to deliver both practical and theoretical teaching
Desirable (but not essential):
- Teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience of teaching within further education
