Senior Catering Supervisor
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: 9 September 2026
Are you an experienced catering professional ready to lead a busy service team?
About the role
You'll take a senior role in the day-to-day running of catering services for a further education provider, overseeing food preparation and service and keeping standards consistently high. You'll supervise the catering team on shift, organising the work and supporting colleagues so that service runs smoothly.
You'll make sure food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained at all times, working in a busy environment with a diverse group of customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the catering team and organising day-to-day service.
- Overseeing food preparation and service to a consistently high standard.
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Supporting and developing colleagues within the team.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Experience in a catering or hospitality environment
- Experience of supervising or leading a team
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised catering or food safety qualification
- Experience of catering within an education setting
