Programme Lead - Health & Social Care
Temporary
Location: the East Midlands
Are you an experienced Health & Social Care professional ready to take the lead on a curriculum area within further education?
About the Role
We're recruiting a Programme Lead - Health & Social Care for a further education provider in the East Midlands. You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the programme area, combining curriculum leadership with high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
You'll work closely with teaching staff and wider curriculum teams to keep standards high and learners on track to achieve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning, delivery and quality of the Health & Social Care curriculum.
- Supporting and guiding the Health & Social Care teaching team.
- Monitoring learner attendance, progress, retention and achievement.
- Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the programme.
- Contributing to quality improvement planning and curriculum development.
- Working with colleagues across the organisation to resolve day-to-day operational matters.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A professional or vocational background in Health & Social Care
- Experience of teaching or assessing Health & Social Care within further education
- Strong understanding of curriculum delivery, quality and learner outcomes
- Confident communication, organisational and team-leadership skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience as a Programme Lead, Programme Manager, Curriculum Lead or Head of Department
- A recognised teaching or assessing qualification
