Plumbing IQA
Temporary | Ad Hoc
Salary: £50 per hour
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced plumbing professional with an internal quality assurance qualification looking for flexible, ad hoc work?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to carry out internal quality assurance across plumbing provision, sampling assessment practice and making sure it meets awarding body standards.
You'll work closely with assessors and delivery staff, giving clear feedback and supporting them to maintain consistent, high-quality assessment decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sampling assessment practice and decisions across plumbing qualifications.
- Ensuring assessment meets awarding body requirements and regulatory standards.
- Providing feedback, guidance and support to assessors and delivery staff.
- Maintaining accurate IQA records and documentation.
- Supporting preparation for external quality assurance visits.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A recognised internal quality assurance qualification (such as IQA, V1 or TAQA)
- A plumbing qualification and relevant industry background
- Sound understanding of awarding body standards and assessment processes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of IQA within a further education setting
