Plumbing Technician
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
A leading Further Education college in Cambridgeshire is seeking a self-motivated and practical Plumbing Technician to join their dedicated Construction team. This role is essential to ensuring practical workshops run smoothly, providing students with the resources and environment they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare workshop areas, tools, and materials ahead of practical teaching sessions and demonstrations.
Maintain, repair, and service workshop equipment across all training areas.
Support teaching staff directly during practical sessions to assist students and uphold high standards of Health & Safety.
Manage stock levels to ensure materials and tools are available when required.
Requirements
Relevant vocational qualification in plumbing or a construction-related trade.
Demonstrable practical skills and strong knowledge of industry-standard tools, equipment, and materials.
Excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Previous technical experience within a Further Education or training environment is advantageous, though full training will be provided.
