Plumbing Lecturer
Temporary
Location: London

Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to pass on your trade knowledge to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in London and the surrounding area, delivering plumbing teaching across classroom and workshop settings. You'll plan sessions that build the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours learners need to progress into employment or further study.
You'll assess learner progress, give constructive feedback and help maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment that reflects current industry practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging plumbing lessons.
- Teaching learners across a range of levels.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining a safe and effective workshop environment.
- Maintaining accurate learner records.
- Embedding English and maths within vocational learning.
- Contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 plumbing qualification (or equivalent)
- Industry experience as a plumber
- Confidence working with learners of differing abilities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or training in a further education setting
