Plastering Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Are you an experienced plasterer looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of tradespeople?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Plastering Lecturer to deliver practical and theory sessions to learners working towards a career in the trade.
You'll teach learners from beginner level through to industry readiness, using your own trade experience to bring the subject to life. Whether you've taught before or you're coming straight from industry, you'll be supported to develop your teaching practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging practical and theory-based sessions in plastering.
- Planning lessons, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Assessing learner work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Tracking learner progress and keeping accurate records of achievement.
- Supporting, motivating and inspiring learners to achieve their potential.
- Preparing learners for progression into employment or further study.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong industry experience within plastering
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate learners and create an engaging learning environment
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification or assessor award
- Previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
