About the Role

We're recruiting a Plumbing Lecturer on behalf of a further education provider in the North West. You'll deliver teaching and assessment across plumbing programmes, bringing your own industry experience into the classroom and workshop.

You'll plan practical and theory sessions, support learners through their qualifications and track their progress towards achievement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering theory and practical plumbing sessions in the classroom and workshop.
• Planning and preparing high-quality teaching, learning and assessment materials.
• Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback.
• Monitoring learner attendance, progress and achievement.
• Maintaining a safe workshop environment and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Keeping your industry knowledge current and embedding it into your teaching.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Occupational experience within the plumbing industry
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate and engage learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• An assessor qualification
• Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing
