Plumbing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: London
Salary: £50 per hour
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to pass your trade skills on to the next generation?
About the role
You'll join a further education provider in London, delivering teaching, learning and assessment across plumbing programmes. Working across both workshop and classroom settings, you'll help learners build the practical skills and confidence they need to progress into employment or further training.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality practical and theoretical sessions across plumbing programmes.
- Planning and preparing engaging lessons that reflect current industry practice.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and career goals.
- Maintaining a safe and effective workshop and classroom environment.
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent
- Current or recent industry experience as a plumber or heating engineer
- Ability to motivate and engage learners
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or training in further education
