Plumbing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract

Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to inspire the next generation of tradespeople?
About the Role
As a Plumbing Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver practical, engaging teaching to learners working towards their plumbing qualifications. You'll combine theory with hands-on workshop practice, helping learners build the technical skills, industry knowledge and confidence they need to progress.
You'll plan your sessions, assess progress and support learners through their programmes, working alongside a team of colleagues from the trade.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering plumbing theory and practical sessions to learners across a range of levels.
- Planning and preparing lessons, learning materials and workshop activities.
- Assessing and monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop and classroom environment.
- Supporting learners to develop the technical and employability skills they need for their next steps.
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent
- Substantial industry experience as a plumber
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and engage learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Assessor qualification
- Previous experience teaching or training groups
