Are you an experienced plumbing or gas professional looking to support the next generation of skilled tradespeople?

About the Role

Working with a further education provider, you'll support apprentices and learners through their training journey, assessing their competence against industry standards and helping them build the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours the trade expects.

You'll work closely with apprentices, employers and curriculum colleagues, carrying out assessments and reviews and giving clear, constructive feedback that keeps learners moving towards achievement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing apprentices against apprenticeship standards and qualification requirements.
• Carrying out workplace observations and progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
• Supporting learners with evidence gathering and portfolio development.
• Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers.
• Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge through ongoing CPD.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 qualification in Plumbing, Domestic Heating or Gas
• Recent hands-on industry experience within plumbing and/or gas
• Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confident IT and digital skills
• Ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

• Valid Gas Safe registration
• An assessing qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent)
• Experience of apprenticeship or vocational training delivery
