Plastering Tutor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: 1 September 2026
Are you an experienced plasterer looking to pass on your trade skills and inspire the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West as a Plastering Tutor, delivering practical workshop sessions and supporting theory to learners working towards vocational qualifications in the trade.
You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and workshop, teaching to current standards and supporting each learner to build the technical skills, confidence and employability that the industry expects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across plastering courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Creating learning resources and tracking each learner's progress.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop that reflects industry practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in plastering
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and maths
- Substantial hands-on experience in the trade
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring
